Dr. Glenda Parker, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in primary and preventive care for adults 18 and better. She focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, depression, obesity and thyroid disorders.

Dr. Parker earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Md.  After her residency, Dr. Parker continued to serve the Baltimore area, caring for veterans with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

Dr. Parker’s approach to caring for patients, based upon her core principle of preventative medicine as opposed to reactionary treatment, guides Carrollwood Internal Medicine in every way. Uniquely qualified to provide preventative care to adults, Dr. Parker’s philosophy ensures the residents of Tampa have access to the best primary care possible.
